Driver's Education at DHS
The DHS Community School will be offering our next session of Driver's Education from April 28 - May 9, 2025 online from 2:45 pm-5:45 pm. The cost will be $450 and is payable via MyPaymentsPlus, cash, or check. The deadline to register is April 25. Spaces are limited, so be sure to complete the registration form and drop it off at the Community School Office (Ms. Deb Walker) as soon as possible. Students must have their learner's permit to take the class.

GDEC Driver's Education Scholarship
The Georgia Driver's Education Commission offers the Georgia Driver's Education Grant Scholarship Program to offer driver's education to Georgia students.
Scholarship Info:
- May only be applied toward a standard 30/6 driver's education course course (30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction).
- The student's parent/guardian must agree to complete forty (40) hours of supervised driving with the student.
- Scholarships must be awarded before a student begins their driver's education course
Who can apply?
- Georgia Residents, age 15-17
- Must possess a valid Georgia Instructional Permit or Driver's License
- Students enrolling in a 30/6 Driver's Education Program.
