The Transformational Classroom
What is the Transformational Classroom?
The Transformational Classroom is a classroom in which teachers meet each student where they are as a learner to push the student to learn more than they would have been able to in a traditional classroom setting. This is accomplished through the use of formative assessment and differentiation supported by instructional technology. Teachers use remediation tailored to specific student needs based on assessments to help the students master each learning target. If a student demonstrates mastery of a particular learning target, enrichment lessons are provided to help maximize the student's growth. Technology tools are often used to aid in both remediation as well as enrichment but are not required for the transformed classroom.
